Welcome
to the website of Solway Sun Club, an idyllic naturist
club in the North of England. Solway
is a small and friendly members' club, affiliated to the
CCBN.
The
Club was founded in 1955 and stands in 15 acres of secluded
woodland.
One well travelled member who joined us recently said
that the Club's setting "was the amongst most beautiful
of any naturist club in the world" that he'd ever
visited.
On
our "nature trail" around the site you may see
one of our red squirrels or the local tawny owl. Also
watch out for rabbits and the abundant birdlife.
The
Club is located near Carlisle and is easily accessible
from the M6, A69, A74 and A7. On
our doorstep are Hadrian's Wall and the Eden Valley. The
Lake District is nearby - our nearest lake, Ullswater,
is only about half an hour away. Scotland, the Pennines
and the Dales are also within easy reach. Bring your boots!
Club
facilities include a small swimming pool, sunbathing lawns,
a miniten/volleyball net and a petanque piste. There is
also a toilet block with hot water and hot showers. A
new sauna and kitchen extend the club house facilities.
If
you require any further information about the club, please
see the Contact Us
page.
